ICLEI World Congress 2018

19 - 22 June 2018
Montréal, Canada
Montréal

In our increasingly urban world, cities and their surrounding regions have a growing influence on global patterns of production, consumption, innovation and technological development. At the same time, they are experiencing rapid change, brought about by urbanization, climate change, shifting demographics and growing inequities that will continue to impact the urban environment.

What happens now in and around urban areas will define the course of global sustainable development this century. Collective action on the most pressing urban issues of our time is critical.

At the ICLEI World Congress 2018 in June 2018, ICLEI - Local Governments for Sustainability and Ville de Montréal will bring together hundreds of mayors, governors, city staff, international organizations, business leaders and researchers to share their ideas, successes and challenges in advancing sustainable urban development worldwide.

Held every three years, the ICLEI World Congress is among the top platforms for peer-to-peer exchange on the latest ideas and innovations designed to advance sustainable development in our urban world. Together, participants will examine key issues and solutions - from the circular economy to nature-based solutions and systemic resilience - set to play a key role in the development of our cities and regions.

Join the action in Montréal on 19 through 22 June 2018. For more information visit the conference website.
