This event is mainly focused on the different approaches and practical experiences on Resilience deployed by a significant selection of innovative European Regions after various research projects funded locally or by the European Commission to improve CIP (critical infrastructure protection) and resilience of essential services in EU.
You’ll have the opportunity to share with other participants and the CIP & Resilient community (main stakeholders: regional and local governments, LEAs, utilities’ operators, integrators, research centres & academia, etc.) an overview of strategies, tools, organization models and practical issues when developing on-the-ground Resilience approaches in a European Region. Then, you can meet representatives from all these experts with sound Resilience projects undergoing, in order to exchange ideas with the aim of paving the way for future cooperation.
5th Informed Cities Forum

Building on the discussions held in Rotterdam (The Netherlands), the 2016 edition will address some of the most pressing questions when it comes to urban sustainability transitions: How to increase the pace of change and yet leave no one behind? How to find allies and where to look for them? And how to bridge different worldviews and deal with conflicts?
As well as local and national government representatives, researchers and experts, the forum will also invite artists and educators, activists and business representatives. Participation is free of charge and registration will open soon. The 5th Informed Cities Forum is organised by ICLEI – Local Governments for Sustainability, the Leibniz Institute of Ecological Urban and Regional Development, and DRIFT, on behalf of all partners of the ARTS project consortium.
