The 2018 Annual International Conference will be held at Cardiff University from Tuesday 28 August to Friday 31 August 2018.

The chair of this year's conference is Paul Milbourne (Cardiff University, UK), who has chosen 'Geographical landscapes / changing landscapes of geography' as the conference theme. This broad theme provides an opportunity to explore ideas of landscape within geographical scholarship, the popularity of landscape beyond the academy, and the shifting landscapes of geography as an academic discipline.

The RESIN project will be presented under the title "Climate adaptation as co-productive transformation: exploring the interfaces of science, policy and practice in multi-scalar contexts".

Thirteenth International Conference on Critical Information Infrastructures Security (CRITIS)

In 2018, the 13th edition of the International Conference on Critical Information Infrastructures Security will be held in Kaunas, Lithuania. CRITIS 2018 will be hosted by the Vytautas Magnus University and the Lithuanian Energy Institute.

CRITIS 2018 continues the tradition of presenting innovative research and exploring new challenges in the field of critical (information) infrastructure protection (C(I)IP) and fostering the dialogue between all C(I)I stakeholders. CRITIS 2018 aims at bringing together researchers and professionals from academia, C(I)I operators, industry, defence sector and governmental organisations working in the field of the security of critical (information) infrastructures.

As in previous years, invited speakers and special events will complement a programme of original research contributions. The conference organisers invite the different research communities and stakeholders involved in C(I)IP to attend and present their progress, and encourages discussions and multi-disciplinary approaches to relevant C(I)IP problems.

Climate Resilient Cities and Infrastructures Conference 2018

The final conference of the RESIN project will take place on 9th October 2018 in Brussels, Belgium. The event will share the final outcomes of the RESIN project for an audience of city practitioners, policymakers, climate adaptation and resilience experts and research scientists. The cities of Paris, Bilbao, Greater Manchester and Bratislava will share their experiences of applying standardized methods for climate change adaptation strategy development and how co-creation has improved their relationships with researchers and their local stakeholders. The RESIN tools will be presented in an interactive marketplace.
