Resilience is a local process, which cities need to drive. This requires skills and methodologies that are often not at hand in city administrations. In order to enhance cities’ capacity to resist, absorb and recover from the effects of climate change, two EU-funded projects, RESIN and Smart Mature Resilience are developing standardized tools to support the design of climate adaptation and resilience strategies. The workshop will present the tools developed by these two projects (including tools for assessing risks, selecting adaptation options and evaluating the resilience maturity of a city) and how these contribute to the overall resilience building process.
